Jakarta (ANTARA) – The National Police of the Republic of Indonesia (Polri) announced that cyber crime investigators are still investigating the National Data Center (PDN) server disruption case which slowed down immigration services at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on June 20.

Here, Monday, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said that police officers and the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) were continuing to collect information and investigate the case.

“They are trying to find out whether the temporary disruption of the PDN server is related to technical matters or something else,” said the National Police Chief.

Previously, on Saturday, June 22, Prabowo revealed that the National Police’s collaboration with BSSN was aimed at reviewing the PDN security system.

The National Police Chief stated that if there is a “legal problem” the police will handle it, while emphasizing that the case has been repeatedly handled by the National Police’s Cybercrime Division.

Meanwhile, on Sunday evening, June 23, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport immigration services began to return to normal, according to the Minister of Communications and Information Arie Setiadi.

“With the server disruption problem resolved, travelers who want to process immigration will no longer be stuck in long queues at the airport’s international terminal at both the departure and arrival gates,” he said.

“Immigration services at the arrival and departure gates are running smoothly. The immigration automation process via autogate can also be used. There are no longer long queues like in previous days,” he said.

In the government’s efforts to deal with temporary disruption to PDN servers, the Ministry of Communication and Information has collaborated with the National Police, BSSN and state-owned telecommunications company PT Telkom.

As previously reported, when it was first reported that there was interference with the platform, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, which is in charge of handling immigration services, stated that it had attempted to restore the service using PDN backup data on Batam Island.

The ministry noted that the disruption temporarily impacted services at immigration offices, passport service units, work units, and checkpoints at airports and ports.
