“To achieve the vision of a Golden Indonesia 2045, economic growth must be encouraged in the range of six to seven percent, with GNI (gross national income) per capita of US$30,300,”

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto is optimistic that Indonesia’s stable economic conditions plus controlled inflation and a good consumer confidence index (CCI) can provide capital to encourage the transformation of the national economy.

“This condition is strong capital to strengthen the foundation for economic transformation,” said the Minister of Finance in Jakarta, Monday.

Hartarto explained that the current condition of the Indonesian economy is relatively stable, marked by growth in the first quarter of 2024 which reached 5.11 percent year-on-year (yoy), and low inflation in May 2024 of 2.84 percent yoy, as well as CCI which is at optimistic level.

Apart from that, he stated that Indonesia’s manufacturing activities were still expansive, while poverty and open unemployment rates continued to decline.

To maintain economic optimism and achieve the vision of a Golden Indonesia 2045, Hartarto emphasized that his ministry will continue to strive to encourage comprehensive and sustainable economic transformation.

He further explained that this was done by increasing investment, competitiveness, industrial added value and productivity; empowerment of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs); encouraging equitable development; and driving connectivity.

The Ministry has also proposed more than 70 work programs, both priority and regular, with the possibility of adding, merging and developing programs.

These programs were created in line with the theme of the Government’s 2025 Work Plan, namely “Accelerating Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Growth”.

These programs are derivatives of several national priority programs, such as food self-sufficiency, sharia economy, digital economy, green economy, infrastructure development, entrepreneurship and development of the agro-maritime industry.

“To achieve the vision of a Golden Indonesia 2045, economic growth must be pushed to the range of six to seven percent, with GNI (gross national income) per capita of US$30,300,” said the Minister of Finance.
